Sabic Plastics enforcing trademark rights of Lexan®
High profile plastic websites using a phrase
containing the word lexan,
are being told to remove the trademark name,
and may be subject to trademark enforcement action by Sabic Innovative Plastics.
(if they sell other brands of polycarbonte)
The Saudi firm acquired the GE polymershapes division in May 21, 2007.
General Electric was not as actively pursuing trademark infringement, leading some to believe the term was becoming generic, but that was not the case.
