The 2010 DC Design House benefiting National Children's Medical Center had an article in the April 8 2010 Washington Post. It featured an acrylic desk by acrylicparts.com. Page and Allan Palmer did more than just purchase the desk from me.
They sort of became my friend, by their phone calls, about their design thoughts, and experiences with this 6 million dollar home. A first response, is hey this is unproductive all this chatter. Then I realize, I have lost the human element, and tried to make myself a work machine, with no soul. I am grateful to be provided with customers, and opportunities, to heal my mechanical mentality.

The Palmer's were very excited to be included in the Washington Post, and we agreed that promotion like this is a gift, that can't be expected or purchased.
The traffic on acrylicparts.com was 4 times normal. So my motives in writing this post etc, are not that pure. Sales were up that day too. No desks were sold, but other furniture. I didn't make the chair, only the clear console.
